Choose The Best Formula | Organic Baby Formula

For young parents, choosing the right formula for your baby is not always easy. Age, composition, and types are just a few elements that need to be taken into account when deciding what formula to buy. You might ask yourself, is one brand better than another? Is organic baby formula a better alternative?

Depending on the health condition of each child, the choice of the most suitable formula differs.  In this article, we will review and recommend different brands of organic baby formula.

What does infant formula mean?

Infant formula, commonly known as “baby formula”, is designed to partially or wholly replace breast milk as food for infants. This type of milk is generally found in supermarkets, pharmacies, and nowadays, online. Infant formula is developed to meet the specific needs of infants and adapt to their physiology. The composition of infant formulas and their manufacture are subject to precise and rigorous standards set by FDA, which thus guarantees their nutritional and sanitary qualities.

What to look for when choosing baby formula?

In a general way, no! Because all “classic” infant formulas have about the same composition. In general, infant formulas are made from cow’s milk, enriched with trace elements, vitamins, all processed to suit babies needs. Animal fats are also replaced by vegetable fats, which are richer in essential fatty acids. To adapt to the kidney elimination abilities of the youngest children, salt levels are reduced.

Baby formula is rich in probiotics, essential for reducing episodes of gastroenteritis, colic and bloating sensations. The organic baby formula has the same compositions and the same quality. The only difference lies in the fact that the milk is organic, made from cows raised on organic farming.

Types of Formulas

Cow milk protein-based formulas

Most infant formula is made with cow’s milk that’s been altered to resemble breast milk. This gives the formula the right balance of nutrients — and makes the formula easier to digest. Most babies do well on cow’s milk formula. Some babies, however — such as those allergic to the proteins in cow’s milk — need other types of infant formula.

Protein hydrolysate formulas

These types of formulas contain protein that’s been broken down (hydrolyzed) — partially or extensively — into smaller sizes than are those in cow’s milk and soy-based formulas. Protein hydrolysate formulas are meant for babies who don’t tolerate cow’s milk or soy-based formulas. Extensively hydrolyzed formulas are an option for babies who have a protein allergy.

Soy-based formulas

Soy-based formulas can be useful if you want to exclude animal proteins from your child’s diet. Soy-based infant formulas might also be an option for babies who are intolerant or allergic to cow’s milk formula or to lactose, a carbohydrate naturally found in cow’s milk. However, babies who are allergic to cow’s milk might also be allergic to soy milk.

Note:  Not be used in children with known allergies

Why organic baby formula?

Apart from classic infant formula, parents can also choose to introduce their child to organic baby formula. From a nutritional point of view, there will be no major differences: the regulation is already very strict, the nutrients will ultimately be quite similar for all infant formulas.

On the other hand, organic baby formulas have the advantage of being more respectful of the environment and animals. Choosing an organic baby formula is, therefore, the assurance of giving baby food from grass-fed cows, without pesticides or chemicals. It is therefore primarily an ethical issue. My baby was exclusively breastfed for a few months with the occasional bottle to make sure he took to bottles for when I went back to work. All the other formulas we tried, he was repulsed by. He only wanted breastmilk. The first time I gave him this formula, he chugged the bottle. Wouldn’t even let me take it from him to burp him. He is 5 months old. This formula is wonderful and I love how it isn’t made with corn syrup!

2. Baby’s Only Organic Dairy Formula

Babies that are over a year of age are most susceptible to hypersensitive reactions. Consequently, Baby’s Only Organic Dairy Iron Fortified is the exceptional choice. Aside from the fact that it has no corn ingredients, the components are gluten-free. It has the right balance of fatty acids that are transformable to DHA and ARA lipids. Plus, the brand claims that it does not have any GMO constituents. It offers the right quantity of protein and other nutritional components that are the closest to breast milk. Also, it has the “Best in Class” seal by Clean Label Project, so, without a doubt, the entirety has undergone the maximum natural procedures.

We love this formula! I’m a breastfeeding mama, but when I have to travel, when we have a babysitter, or just to supplement, this is the only formula we will use. It actually smells and tastes nice, which is surprisingly rare. Why is the typical formula so awful? This stuff is amazing. Happy baby, no tummy troubles with this. He switches from breastmilk to formula no problem. I feel good about the organic ingredients, and love that includes DHA and ARA. Thank you Baby’s Only!!

Your child will also receive DHA and ARA, two fatty acids originally found in breast milk that help support brain and eye health. Earth’s Best Organic Infant Powder Formula comes from organic farming and brings a preserved natural flavor.

This is our go-to formula. When we switched from breast milk to formula at 5 months, I had a lot of concerns about how our daughter would do. Would she have bad gas? Would her diapers start smelling terrible? Would she like it? She switched without any problems. She didn’t refuse this (though to be fair, she seems to like everything), didn’t have any gas problems, and her poops stay pretty much exactly the same as breast milk. (Some other formulas did make her poops disgusting and gag-worthy, so there definitely was a difference these.) Happy to have this option for our daughter!

How To Transition From Breast Milk To Formula

How To Transition From Breast Milk To Formula

In the United States, breastfeeding rates continue to rise, but many stops earlier than is recommended, according to the 2017 Breastfeeding Report Card released today by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

You decided to stop breastfeeding

The first question to ask yourself before switching to infant formula is: do you give up the breast for the right reasons? Because breastfeeding remains the reference food for the baby. And if it is possible to continue giving breast you should do so. Here are some bad reasons to stop.

” I do not have enough milk ”

Women often feel that they do not have enough milk, or that their breasts are too small to produce enough. First of all, it must be known that production has nothing to do with the size of the cup. Then, it is the feeding which will allow the rise and the production of the milk. And it’s the anxiety of not having enough milk that is more likely than anything else to prevent enough production!

” My baby has breastfeeding transit problems ”

When breastfeeding, the stool frequency ranges from one after each meal, to one a week. But if the baby is doing well, there is no reason to worry or to stop breastfeeding.

” My baby is too thin ”

Statistically, breastfed babies are a bit thinner than babies fed formulas. But that’s not because breastmilk is not nourishing. On average, breastfed babies weigh less at age 1 than formula-fed babies. However, by the time they’re 2 years old, the gap closes and breastfed and formula-fed babies weigh about the same.

How to transition from breast milk to infant formula?

Decrease breastfeeds gradually, by replacing a feed every three days, to gradually keep only those in the morning and evening until you reach zero suckling.

Be careful, you can not give anything to baby: he has specific needs that are essential for his good growth and development. Infant formulas are specially designed to meet these special needs (their composition is close to breast milk).

How to change infant formula?

First of all, be aware that when you have chosen a formula, there is no question of changing it according to the promotions in your store. The initial choice should be kept as much as possible to avoid disturbing the baby’s digestive system.

But in some cases, it is sometimes necessary to change infant formula. Especially in case of problems of regurgitation, constipation or in case of allergies.

In case of regurgitation problems (gastro-oesophageal reflux), the use of anti-reflux formulas (or comfort) is recommended. They are enriched in starch, to avoid intestinal disorders.

Recommended Product: Enfamil PREMIUM Gentlease

In case of allergies in the family (one of the parents or allergic siblings), the pediatrician may advise switching to hypoallergenic formula. They are made from cow’s milk proteins divided into small pieces to make them better supported by children. On the other hand, they should not be used in a child who has a proven allergy (identified by the doctor).

Recommended Product: Similac Alimentum

In case of constipation or digestion problems, we can use lactose-free formulas, which have the effect of a better reconstitution of the intestinal flora to improve digestion and promote intestinal transit. This should be done transiently and under medical prescription.

Recommended Product: Gerber Good Start Gentle

By following the advice of your doctor, and being attentive to your baby’s needs, you will allow him to grow and flourish without worry.

Home Remedies For Diaper Rash

Home Remedies For Diaper Rash

Who has not heard of diaper rash? This skin condition affects babies in general for up to 15 months. The diaper rash is a common infection, but scary for the mother and especially painful for the baby. Find out what home remedies for diaper rash can soothe your baby’s bottom.

How to Identify Diaper Rash

Diaper rash occurs as redness on the baby’s bottom, accompanied by small pimples and plaques. It is caused by prolonged contact with a used diaper. The baby’s skin is thinner and therefore more vulnerable. But it can also be caused by an irritation caused by a detergent if you use washable diapers.

Even if diaper rash is not contagious or serious, it is still important to treat it quickly and prevent the irritation from gaining momentum. In this article, we’ll share with you a few home remedies for diaper rash that will definitely put the smile back on your baby’s face.

Home Remedies for Diaper Rash

First, if you are a fan of washable diapers, it is essential to perform a good “scrub” by washing at high temperature with the addition of white vinegar. When possible, leave your baby walk around without a diaper. When changing, don’t use wipes or other scented lotions that might aggravate the skin.

  • Olive oil (1 tablespoon added to 5 drops of water) is the best-known remedy and by far the most effective.
  • Sprinkling cornstarch on the damaged area also relieves and helps with healing.
  • The application of cod liver oil provides immediate relief to the baby.
  • Lanolin oil or wool wax (also used by lactating moms) makes a protective barrier.
  • Pure petroleum jelly has the same action.

In general, home remedies for diaper rash prove to be effective. However, consult your doctor if the irritation does not go away or spreads.

If your baby suffers from colic, you may be dreading the moment when he will ask for his bottle, a moment often followed by crying, crying and more crying.

Colic is defined as crying that occurs for at least three hours a day, at least three days a week. Colicky crying looks terribly uncomfortable and does not tend to respond very well to a lot of things that parents try. It usually starts around 2 weeks of age can last up to 3 months of age in most cases.

How to Reduce Baby colic?

anti colic bottles - colicking baby

Let’s be clear: there are no magic solutions to reduce baby colic. On the other hand, several tips show their effectiveness.

When you prepare the meal, place the baby in an upright position to take the bottle without swallowing air. Use anti-colic bottles. Help baby burp, while ensuring that the baby’s head is supported, by placing him on your shoulder to evacuate any additional trapped air.

We already know that bubbles and babies are a bad mix! You will want to select a bottle which minimizes bubbles. These will be bottles which have a vent which lets air in without the air going through the milk.

How to Choose the Best Anti-Colic Bottles for Your Baby

BPA Free

Bisphenol A (BPA) is needed to produce plastic polycarbonate. This plastic has long been used to make, among other things, food packaging, plastic tableware, and baby bottles.

Definitive scientific studies are still being developed, but some researchers believe that traces of BPA gradually break off from the plastic and enter the body which could be detrimental to health. So parents are worried and a number of countries are already talking about BPA prohibitions.

Some brands of baby bottles have been free of BPA for several years. Instead, they use polypropylene because no BPA is needed for their manufacture. This plastic has been rigorously tested: all studies show that the material is harmless and safe. It is also possible to buy anti-colic bottles made of glass.

Plastic or Glass?

Glass, silicone, plastic and stainless steel are the most common materials that are used in baby bottles. Plastic is lightweight, ubiquitous, shatterproof and inexpensive, but parents worry about chemicals, even in plastic without bisphenol A (for more on BPA, see the important safety notes above). Plastic bottles also deteriorate faster and they need to be replaced regularly.

The glass is heavy and can sometimes break, even if the glass bottle is covered by silicone sleeves. Glass bottles are sold on a large scale and last longer than plastic bottles, but they are more expensive.

Silicone bottles are lightweight, unbreakable, BPA-free and often soft but more expensive than plastic and glass. Be careful, silicone bottles are only rarely sold in pharmacies or grocery stores, which can be unpleasant if nipple cracks or breaks and you need a quick replacement.

Stainless steel is lightweight, shatterproof, BPA-free and lasts a long time, but like silicone, these bottles can be expensive and hard to find. In the end, we advise you to look into BPA-free plastic bottles that have the best quality/price ratio.

There are several sizes of bottles, especially 160mL and 260mL. Anti-colic baby bottles of 160mL are perfect for infants while the large size can be used from 1 month or more.

Likewise, consider buying several baby bottles to make your life easier. Ideally, 4 bottles are more than enough for a baby (you will quickly see that it is difficult to alternate with only 2 bottles).

Anti-Colic Nipples

The vast majority of nipples on the market are silicone, and the main differences are that some nipples are relatively narrow in shape and others are larger and more mound-like to mimic the shape of a breast.

You can often find smaller nipples on narrow-necked bottles, which makes the bottle itself difficult to clean. These nipples may be more difficult to put in place for the baby. Larger nipples are usually supplied with a bottle with a larger opening which is a plus for cleaning.

Why Buy Anti-Colic Bottles?

Anti-colic bottles have a mechanism to reduce the amount of air that the baby can swallow during a meal. Ingesting air can create uncomfortable pressure and gas in a baby’s belly and is considered a common cause of diarrhea.

Anti-colic bottles are equipped with a ventilation system that forces the air out of the bottle so that it does not enter the mouth of the baby. These models are designed to reduce the amount of air that goes through the bottle and to reduce the hassle and pain after a meal.

Anti-Colic Bottles: Until What Age?

It is common for toddlers to stick to their bottles because they spend so much time using them. In addition to providing food, baby bottles can provide a sense of security or comfort to the child, making it more difficult to remove these bottles.

Studies indicate that families should not wait too long to take this important step, as it can increase the difficulty of these efforts. It is also important to know the tips for transitioning from bottle to glass.

Research has shown that babies should not be using baby bottles by the age of one and at the latest by the age of 18 months. Yet about 20% of children would still use a bottle regularly around 24 months.

If your baby is born prematurely or if he has health problems such as stunting or digestive distress, you should discuss with your doctor the appropriate age to start withdrawing the bottle.

How to Use Anti-Colic Bottles?

When using it for the first time, carefully read the instructions, make sure you understand them and you have all the answers to your questions. Each model has special features.  Follow these simple rules before you start:

  • Wash your hands thoroughly
  • Never give your baby an outdated formula
  • If ready-to-use preparations are used, shake the preparation containers before opening
  • If the preparation is in a box, clean the lid of any dust and make sure the can opener is clean

Are you a future mother and your first concern is breastfeeding? You wonder regularly how to choose the right baby bottle for your little one. Most of the time, you have to test several bottles or pacifiers before finding the best. Only, in addition to increasing the stress, it will cause a waste of time for you.
For your convenience, we give you following aspects to consider in order to offer your baby the ideal bottle.

A Bottle With a Natural Teat

When you go out to buy the bottle or make your purchase on the net, make sure it has a pacifier enough wide. In general, rubber or silicone, it must imitate the shape of the breast to provide comfort to the newborn. This type of nipple facilitates breastfeeding since it allows a more natural suckling as with the breast. The mother will be able to alternate the breast and the bottle at the same time.

Always at the level of the pacifier, check the quality of the cells is very useful since they are responsible for the softness of the pacifier.

To prevent colic, order an anti-colic bottle with a double valve. This modern system allows air to enter the bottle which in this way reduces the risk of colic. Once the essential is detected, you will be able to choose the material of which one made the bottle.

Comotomo Baby Bottle
Comotomo Baby Bottles have a simple design that mimics the natural breastfeeding process. It has a beautiful shape, soft silicone nipples perfectly suited for babies who are transitioning from nursing to bottle feeding. Your precious baby will absolutely love this bottle.

I love this company ! I bought my first Comotomo 5oz. bottle before I gave birth and I love them. Now my baby is 3 months and decided to buy him this one. He truly loves these bottles. He loves them so much that he’s learned to hold them at such a small age. They’re super soft to the touch and he’s never had a problem latching on. With some of his other bottles, the nipple tends to sink in as he’s sucking, but these nipples have never done that. I also have to mention that he’s never suffered from any colic produced by these bottles. Happy consumer !

2. Philips Avent Anti-colic Baby Bottles

The grooved texture promotes proper suction. This anti-colic polypropylene bottle is free of BPA. It is microwaveable and dishwasher safe. It is used from birth.

My newborn was having trouble with gas, and was guzzling her bottles. One day, she aspirated on her formula, she started coughing and choking so bad, I took her to the emergency room. She was ok, but I got these bottles the same day, and they are worth every penny. There is a big difference with my daughter. She doesn’t have colic anymore, is less gassy, and doesn’t guzzle her milk, so no more choking. Definitely worth the money, I would pay more even with how much better my baby is doing.

I bring my 8 wk old to work everyday and saw my friend with twins use so i decided to try, we have tried every ANTI SPIT, COLIC bottle out there. we have been using for 2 days and he has never been calmer. Now his spit up is like a normal baby and he has very smooth burps I highly recommend. I am so far only using while at work so i can feed him at home but I may only start using these bottles if he continues to throw up with the others.

4. MAM Anti-Colic Baby Feeding Bottles with Orthodontic BPA-Free

If you want your baby to enjoy the feeding experience, look no more. In collaboration with doctors, MAM has developed a bottle with a large ventilated base. It compensates for pressure differences and ensures a steady, natural flow without air absorption for baby. This bottle provides comfort during feeding and reduces 80% of colic after a few days of use. It’s ergonomic and easy to clean.

We love these bottles! After buying them, our daughter started eating regularly, and around the same number of ounces during each feeding. It’s harder to get a burp out of her with this product than with other bottles. Also, she likes them more because the shape of the nipple make it fit better in her mouth then the oddly-shaped nipples of other bottles. I believe them when they say they’ve done research to find a bottle that will reduce colic and eating problems. Just a warning, they can leak a little bit from time to time, but it’s not consistent, so it’s possible it was just me not screwing the bottles together correctly.

5. Philips Avent Anti-colic Baby Bottle with AirFree Vent

Philips Avent Anti-colic Baby Bottle with AirFree VentThe Philips Avent anti-colic baby bottle includes a valve that allows baby to consume less air when he drinks his bottle. The feeding is thus uninterrupted and more comfortable for the baby and yourself. This bottle is designed so that even when sitting, the pacifier remains full of milk, blocked by the valve. As a result, baby swallows less air, and the usual problems like colic, reflux and gas are limited. The shape of the nipple also allows a good suction and does not crash thanks to its grooved texture.

Anyone who has fed a baby can tell you that you must keep a rag under the bottle to catch the leaks. Not this bottle! This set includes four 9 oz. bottles with an air free vent, and number 2 sized nipples. The nipples might be a tad fast for newborns, but you can easily just change it out for a number 1 nipple. I found the bottles very easy to clean and I had no difficulty sterilizing.

Just a final note, your baby may not burp after this bottle as the anti-colic works so well that they do not have much extra air to get out.

7. Flipsi Natural Silicone Baby Bottle

Flipsi Natural Silicone Baby Bottle

Flipsi Natural Silicone Baby Bottle comes with a wide, natural nipple shape. Air can be completely squeezed out prior to feeding, helping reduce nipple confusion and ease the breast-to-bottle transition. It is suitable for a baby from birth. A simple model nevertheless recommended for a gentle weaning.

This is a very cool new baby bottle. My wife and I love that it is both anti-colic and easy to clean. All other anti-colic bottles I’ve seen have extra parts that are very difficult and time-consuming to clean. This bottle has a such an intuitive solution. Because it is flexible it just compresses as our baby feeds, which means he is not getting any air mixed in at all. By avoiding the extra parts and because you can flip it completely inside out it’s very easy to clean. Clearly a lot of care has been put into designing this bottle as every aspect seems really well thought-through for ease of use. Really like the look as well. Definitely recommend.

8. VivoBebé Anti Colic Baby Bottles

For the bottle feeding experience to be closer to mom’s breast, this bestseller not only prevents leaks but also reduces the baby’s discomfort by removing air from the baby’s bottle rather than through the baby’s belly. VivoBebé Anti Colic Baby became very popular among moms on the internet. Wide and super soft, they deliver a skin-like feel your infant won’t reject, so you can both nurse and bottle feed!

I love these bottles! The design is very similar to the Comotomo bottles, with the nipples being interchangeable. My granddaughter loves the nipples, and she is mostly breastfed. The bottles are extremely easy to clean, not needing a bottle brush. The one complaint I have is that the measurement readings on the side are literally impossible to read. They are embossed on the silicone. It would have been helpful if they had painted them somehow. Otherwise, these get an enthusiastic two thumbs up.

9. Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow Wide Neck Bottle

Made from BPA free, polypropylene plastic, the pacifier allows a natural feeding, close to breastfeeding, while ensuring the proper positioning of the tongue and the palate thanks to its shape. The silicone nipple has a broader base which some breastfeeding moms prefer. Finally, the parents’ opinions are overall very positive which is not a surprise for this quality mark.

As a first-time mom I have done a lot of research and by far these bottles won each time. So I gave it a try. My baby is now 10 months old and (knock on wood) never ever had any colic or gas. Idk if these bottles are the reason but I do not believe in coincidence. Love the fact that it removes the air for baby. I did start with the 4oz bottles but if I had known I would have bought the 8oz right away to save me money. Had to buy a bigger bottle as baby’s needs grew. So save yourself a headache and go ahead and buy the 8 oz right away even if you only use half of it. Plus don’t forget the nipples. To change as baby grows

How Long Does Colic Last? | 9 Tips Against Colic

How Long Does Colic Last? | 9 Tips Against Colic

Got a colicky baby? Do you want to know how long does colic last? Don’t worry, we are here to help. Colicky babies are often an extra challenge, not only during the day but especially during the night time. In the top 10 of the worst tests in the life of young parents, the one related to baby colic is in a good position, alongside the GERD. Many babies suffer from the first days and their cries of pain often leave deep traces in many poor parents.

Baby colic: What is it, When Does Colic Start and How Long Does Colic Last?

Baby colic refers to intense crying, accompanied by bloating and gas, from which some infants, otherwise healthy, suffer. If baby squirms in all directions, screaming, stretching, and if he folds his legs and then unfolds them, he is likely to suffer from what is called colic. It usually starts when the baby is about 3 weeks old and the wailing peaks when they reach 6 weeks old. Hold on, mama!

OK, but how long does a colic last, you might ask. Good news, most babies colic stops by the time they hit 3 months old.

If you have any doubts, talk to your pediatrician or read more on Colic – Symptoms and Causes.

What Causes Colic in a Baby?

how long does colic last

Concerning the causes, the answer is simple: we do not know. Some tracks have been explored, but none of them have won the unanimous support from health professionals for the moment.

Among the hypotheses, scientists wonder about the level of maturity of the intestine, the air swallowed by babies while sucking, possible food intolerances … without certainty.

Tips for Colicky Baby

If your baby has already suffered from colic, you know what I’m talking about: no parent worthy of the name can remain insensitive to the pain that seems to live in his offspring. At the same time, in these moments, the strident and continuous cries of a baby can quickly overcome well-formed parents. For all these reasons, many parents are looking for solutions. Honestly, none of them is 100% proven. But by combining them, we still managed to soothe the baby as much as possible. We put together 14 tips on how to comfort a colicky baby.

Infographic for the list of tips for colicky baby

1. Establish a Soothing Atmosphere

Colic makes baby scream. His tears annoy you. Your stress results in anxiety. And it’s the hellish spiral. But your baby is counting on you to reassure and soothe him. Choose skin to skin contact, wear it in a sling, bathe it, sing lullabies, talk to him softly … in short, create a soothing atmosphere, try to recreate the womb environment the best that you can and keep calm as much as possible!

2. Walk Baby on Your Forearm

The best thing parents can do to help a colicky baby go to sleep is motion. The colicky baby wants the warmth, the comfort, the cosines and the motion that they experienced when in the womb. Walk around the house calmly, swaying gently. Help your baby feel secure and snuggled up. With a stroke of luck, he will fall asleep.

3. Massage Baby

This solution is often mentioned by health professionals. Nevertheless, its efficiency seemed random. With two fingers, make circular movements on the baby’s tummy to soothe the pain. You can also try essentials oils.

4. Buy an Anti-Colic bottle

Bottle manufacturers have developed anti-colic bottles for colic, regurgitation, reflux and hiccups. Some bottles have a specific design like the Philips Avent Anti-Colic Baby Bottle, others such as Nuk or Advent, are equipped with nipples adapted to mimic natural breastfeeding. You will find a selection of the best anti-colic baby bottles here.

5. Place a Hot Water Bottle on the Baby’s Tummy

This is one of those rare solutions most parents don’t try. Putting a warm bottle on baby’s stomach would apparently help to calm bloating and reduce pain. You can also try the heat cushion with cherry stones. If you have tested, feel free to share your opinion in a comment!

6. Place it Upright During Feeding

To prevent the baby from swallowing too much air during feeding, some specialists advise to hold him in a position as vertical as possible at the time of the meal. Also, try to opt for a smaller bottle to prevent it from filling with air unnecessarily.

7. Give it Sweet Water

The sweet water is also said to have soothing properties against baby colic. It would be enough to boil half a spoon of powdered sugar in 20 ml of water before allowing to cool. To be served to the baby in a pipette, without exceeding two doses a day!

8. Avoid Cow’s Milk

The colic of a breastfed baby may be due to a food that the mom consumed. A diet based on cow’s milk and dairy products (butter, yogurts, cheeses …) could upset the baby’s tummy. Stop them for a few days and watch your baby. If you notice a difference, you will need to eliminate dairy products from your diet and switch to almond milk or coconut milk.

9. Choose the Right Milk Powder

Some milk powders can reduce the pain caused by colic. Talk to your doctor and he will help you find the right one. However, avoid changing the infant milk too often. Also, read Practical Guide In Choosing The Best Formula For Babies.

I use is almost exclusively now because it uses minerals, instead of chemicals. I don’t have anything against chemicals per se, but I live in the desert. In the summer, I actually run before sunrise, and in the winter, I run during the day. That means this stuff might sit around for six months. Chemical sunscreens can weaken or lose their effectiveness over time. Mineral sunscreens do not. But keep it in a dark place.

After reading through I don’t know how many reviews on sunscreen, I opted to spend $30 and buy this. I am very happy that I did. I have a 21-month-old and it works great on her. It is a little difficult to rub in and will leave some white streaks – but what do we care. All I care about is that it is protecting her from the sun and it does just that. I would recommend to any parent for their little ones.

My child has eczema requiring daily steroids. Since using this at every diaper change plus morning and nights we have not needed steroids. Im sure changing detergents, wipes, and soaps helped but this stuff is amazing. It’s not greasy or too thick to rub on comfortably. The rice last is a month and it’s worth every penny. We no longer use steroids daily!

This is a wonderful baby sunscreen! Everything about it is great, there are no cons. It smells delightful, like orange blossoms, it is easy to rub in, and my baby has never had a burn while using it. My husband and I have started using it, too, because it is so great. We used to use Neutrogena, which is also great, but the smell of this one is much more pleasant.
